The short version. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from anyone else. The contact form is the one place it collects anything — a name, an email address and a message — and we use that to write back to you, and for nothing else. Each app has its own policy, both below.

This website

This part covers norvela.app itself — the pages you are reading now. It is a set of static files on Netlify. There is no account and no login, and nothing here asks you to make one.

The site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking script of any kind, so there is nothing here to opt into or out of. The type is set in fonts already on your device, and no part of a page is fetched from a third party — which means no third party sees you visiting.

The contact form is the one place the site collects anything. It asks for:

  • Your name — so we know who we are writing back to.
  • Your email address — so we can write back at all.
  • Your message — whatever you want to tell us.

There is also a hidden anti-spam field in the form. People never see it and never fill it in; automated spam does, which is how we tell the two apart.

The form is handled by Netlify Forms, which stores what you send so we can read it and reply. We use your email address to reply about your project, and for nothing else: no lists, no newsletter, nothing sold and nothing shared.

If you would like a submission deleted, write to support@norvela.app and we will delete it.

Two things we would rather say plainly than dress up. Netlify is a processor here — it serves these pages and holds form submissions on our behalf, under its own terms, and it is the one other company involved. And hosting a website at all means a server sees the requests it answers, so Netlify keeps the ordinary access logs every web host keeps. We do not run analytics over them and we do not use them to build a picture of anyone, but they exist, and we would rather tell you that than claim more privacy than we actually have.

Huie for iOS

Huie is built so that the interesting parts of your life stay on your phone. norvela runs no servers, sells no ads, and has no analytics. We cannot see your data, and this page explains exactly what that means in practice.

What stays on your device

  • Calendar and Reminders. Huie reads them through Apple's EventKit to draw your morning. They are never transmitted anywhere.
  • Notes and chat history. Everything you write in the Notepad and Ask AI cards is stored locally on your phone.
  • Settings and card layout. Stored on-device; backed up only by your own iCloud device backup.
  • Crash reports. Diagnostics are written to files on your phone and shown to you in Settings → About. They are not uploaded to us or anyone else.

What leaves your device, and where it goes

Some cards fetch live information at your request. These requests go directly from your phone to the data source — there is no norvela server in between, and no analytics or advertising identifiers are attached.

  • Weather sends the coordinates of your chosen place (or your device location, at roughly city accuracy, if you allow it) to Open-Meteo to fetch the forecast.
  • News and Markets request public headlines and quotes from Google News and Yahoo Finance.
  • Games fetch daily puzzles from public puzzle sources.
  • Gmail (optional). If you connect Gmail, Huie uses Google's own read-only sign-in on your device. Your mail flows directly from Google to your phone; we never see it, and Huie cannot send, delete, or modify mail.
  • Ask AI (optional). If you choose a cloud assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) and paste your own API key, your messages go directly to that provider under your account and their privacy policy. Choosing Siri keeps requests on-device.
  • App version check. Huie asks Apple's public App Store API whether a newer version exists. No personal data is included.

The pattern throughout: you choose the source, your phone talks to it directly, and nothing is retained by us — because there is no "us" server-side to retain it.

What we collect

Nothing. norvela operates no backend, no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. Huie's App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected, and its privacy manifest declares no tracking and no tracking domains.

Permissions Huie asks for

  • Calendar and Reminders — to draw your day. Decline either and the rest of the app still works.
  • Location (optional) — only if you want weather for wherever you are. You can type a city instead and never grant it.
  • Speech recognition (optional) — to dictate into cards. Processed with Apple's system speech services.

Children

Huie is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes

If a future version of Huie ever changes what leaves your device, this page will change first, and the app's release notes will say so in plain language.
